The Journal of Financial Service Professionals (JFSP) is a 63-year-old, blind peer-reviewed journal with an acceptance rate of 45 percent and a long tradition of serving insurance and financial service professionals. The emphasis of the JFSP is on applied practitioner-oriented articles that enable planners to better serve clients. Members of ARIA should feel free to extrapolate from more advanced academic research endeavours to enhance the practice of over 20,000 readers of the Journal. In addition, academics should consider writing articles with unique insights, analysis, and synthesis of concepts toward the purpose of increasing the knowledge base for practitioners and ultimately the quality of service provided by these practitioners to clients.
