Shawn Brayman is the president of PlanPlus. PlanPlus Inc. provides advice centric wealth management and financial planning software solutions to financial services firms worldwide. PlanPlus has become a world-recognized firm with its groundbreaking software PlanPlus Planit and industry-leading training and service offerings. PlanPlus has users in North and South America, the Caribbean, Asia and Europe. PlanPlus Inc is a Canadian company established in 1990.
- He was the winner of the Financial Frontiers Awards in 2007 for his paper on "Beyond Monte Carlo: A Replacement for a Misunderstood Technology" and has had other research papers published including "Income Replacement versus Expense Approach to Insurance Needs" in the Journal of Financial Planning.
- Shawn has B.Sc. in Applied and Computational Math and a Masters in Environmental Studies focusing on Predictive Expert Systems. He completed the Chartered Financial Planning academic programs in the early 1990s.
- Shawn is a frequent speaker at financial planning conferences and has spoken at conferences and gatherings in Canada (Advocis, CIFPS, IAFP), US (FPA, NAPFA, AFS), UK (IFPUK, PFS), Hong Kong (IFPHK), Malaysia (FPAM), Singapore, Caribbean, Netherlands, Japan and more.
- Shawn is an active member of the Financial Planning Association and in 2009 was the Chairman of the Asia-Pacific Focus Group and a member of the Global Advisory Council.
Shawn and PlanPlus were the original instigators of Planipedia and PlanPlus acts as the technology host for the system.
